David Mayper Executive Director PFOA

Greetings. it's been about two months since our annual meeting and board meeting. May flew by quickly. We went through a search process and hired a controller. His name is Jeff Grieshaber and he began this month. Since integrating Jeff into the position, we are already having positive reactions and results. We are reviewing financial activities and getting him familiar with processes.

AmerisourceBergen had a significant reduction in their overall workforce which included Alan Wilson, part of the coverage team for PFOA. Our newly assigned team includes Rex Walker, located in Orlando and Rich Hazinski who was previously assigned to our account for approximately eight months several years ago.   I met with Rex and Rich in our Coral Springs office and we spent some time covering the ABC/PFOA relationship.

The staff and I have been working with representatives from IPC and McKesson adding members to both the IPC warehouse and the McKesson prime vendor programs. We are steadily adding members to the programs and they are increasing participation.

Beginning on June 1st, AAP reached a new agreement with Cardinal and has additionally changed some of their brand promotions through the API warehouse to better adjust to their new Cardinal agreement. A good number our members switched over to the new compliance agreement, though a number of our members remain on the traditional program. We developed a purchase analyzer to specifically focus on these changes for our members who would like us to review how they optimize their purchase options between the two programs. We have already used this analyzer in discussions with several of our members on the Cardinal AAP program. We are also in the process of developing comparisons of the new Cardinal program to our available offerings from ABC and McKesson IPC.

I presented at the AAP sales meeting this month and highlighted PFOA's value to our membership. Following that meeting, I traveled to Pennsylvania, met with Ann Benyo and visited members in the area.

Bob Sutton will be attending the McKesson ideaShare annual event on behalf of PFOA this month. Bob will be reviewing vendor programs as well as meeting with McKesson and IPC representatives.

We have had two vendor committee phone conferences since our annual meeting that focused on member insurance options and vial options. We will pass along information when final decisions are made.

Ronda Hubbard distributed her 50th issue of the Generic Express Newsletter this month. In addition, she sent out a potential price increase report. Ronda also attended NCPA's legislative event on behalf of PFOA and has brought back information and ideas for our members.

The entire staff is working on promoting our participation in next month's annual meetings for Cardinal Health and AmerisourceBergen. We are looking forward to direct meetings with as many members as possible.

I thank you for your support and appreciate the opportunity to be your Executive Director.

Yours Truly,

David Mayper
